Our first literacy topic this year was to Explore Selby with the help of Dora the Explorer who helped us write simple sentences, use labels, and make a list. We found out facts about places of interest Selby,
Then we have learnt how to re-tell a story using Talk for Writing. Then we wrote out own stories changing the characters , using the story The Three Little Pigs.
We have also learnt how to find out facts about Meerkats and Penguins comparing the animals and the habitats they live in. Then we had to sort the facts to show which are true and false.
